This year we attended EUROBIKE again, the usual appoinment for all the people working in the bike industry but also for cycling enthusiasts.
There was a great sun welcoming us every day we were there, plus the usual Zeppelin flying in the blue sky.
This year, though, it was flying strangely stripped of sponsors. This really surprised us and we wondered if it was a problem of credit crunch; or, more simply, the pricey fares they apply for flying passengers over the Costanza Lake is more than enough.
The world famous German efficiency is not denied in the least, though, considering that the usual free buses to and from the car parks near the expo area were running without interruption to carry their load of visitors. Everything was like clock work.

In the UK the governement seems to be very interested in green urban transport recently.
At the end of 2009 The UK Cycle to Work plan has restarted, the plan allowing bicycle commuters to get a bike, through their employers, at nearly half the price. It’s a win-win situation: the employee has his bike for half the price, the employer saves on NI contributions.

EUROBIKE 2010
Eurobike 2010 will be held in Friedrichshafen from the 1st to the 4th of September this year. Eurobike is the most complete and richest expo on the old Continent on the 2 pedal-propelled wheels. You might very well know what we mean, if you have ever been.
Some facts: 1.600 journalists from 36 Countries. 40.000 visitors from 75 nations over 4 fantastic days, when this beautiful town on the Costanza lake becomes the centre of the cycling world.

 The European MTB Championships wear the Swiss cross!
Sure enough two European Swiss athletes graduated European champions: Esther Süss of Wheeler Ixs Pro Team and Ralph Näf of Multivan Merida Biking Tea.
